Introducing the Northstar! The first affordable complete UCI starting light for BMX racing. Compatible with the Cartessa TARA AGC-4, this light stand is durable and completely made in the USA. The well thought out design, makes it very versatile and highly configurable.

The light stand features a durable tripod that contains a tie down device to ensure the light never falls down in the wind. The 45 foot cord allows you to place the light at the 30 foot line and still have plenty of cable to reach the control box. The cord itself is made out of durable UV resistant outdoor cable.

The light stand also features a cable retention loop to stow the cable when not in use. The tripod legs fold in for easy storage.

Each light section contains 96 traffic signal LEDs. These LEDs have a wide viewing angle, and can be seen even with the sun shining directly on them. Eyelid shades are not necessary. The circuit driving the LED sections is a constant current power supply that has the ability to take 11-40VDC. The whole circuit is encapsulated in durable weather resistant black polyurethane. The light assembly itself measures less than 3/4" thick. 

The light itself can be sold separately and can be mounted to any weatherproof outdoor single gang electrical box. It acts basically light a giant outlet cover. This allows you to permanently mount the light to a wooden or metal post. Each light comes with an easy to wire terminal block, and a Cinch connector to plug into the Cartessa box.

The galvanized mounting plate and U-bolts can also be purchased separately. This allows you to mount the light to any post that is 1 1/2 to 1 3/4" in diameter. The plate is compatible with all Carlon brand single gang boxes which can be purchased from Home Depot and other home centers. 

Since the system is totally modular, the box terminated with a cable cut to your specified length can also be ordered.
